Dom Pérignon Reveals its exclusive end of year collaboration with designer Iris Van Herpen
It’s that time of the year where champagne flows after fashion shows as we enter fashion week season.
To mark the beginning of fashion week and the fast approaching end of 2014, prestige champagne brand Dom Pérignon, has revealed its exciting limited edition collaboration with designer Iris Van Herpen.
The Dutch fashion star's inspiration comes from the way Dom Pérignon champagne transforms over time. To celebrate the revolutionary metamorphosis of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2004 into its Second Plénitude, P2, she has created an intriguing limited edition bottle as well as signed gift boxes.
Throughout its history, Dom Pérignon has been intricately linked to the concept of metamorphosis. The spiritual legacy of Dom Pérignon constantly reinvents itself throughout the ages, selectively choosing when to emerge in the form of a new vintage and this time has now arrived.
In addition, Iris van Herpen has designed an exclusive, mesmerizing über-premium bottle-holder, titled Cocoonase, inspired by the importance of time in crafting Dom Pérignon vintages. Agility and speed needed to pick the best grapes at their perfection versus the wine’s many potent years of maturation are vital in creating Dom Pérignon champagne. The elegant, horizontal bottle-stand Cocoonase highlights this duality of time to showcase the singularity of Dom Pérignon wines.
“Metamorphosis represents continued creation, energy and transformation,” said Richard Geoffroy, Dom Pérignon Chef de Cave. “This concept inspires the creation of our wines, in their active maturation and evolution from one plénitude, or window of expression, to the next.” Lets hope there are some amazing champagne cocktails on the horizon!
